I cannot believe that in 7 days my babies will be 6 months old. It is amazing how fast the time flies by. We have officially moved to IA. How fun... LOVE the new house cannot wait until next summer so I can get the horses moved. Unfortunately only Sarge and Shania will be joining us. My mom is keeping Shianne and Dreamer with her and the rest will stay with my dad at the farm. Until things get better situated, everything will work out. Still fightin the good fight and unfortunately lost the hearing in my right ear so my world is pretty silent. I did break down and got a hearing aid for my left ear and I cannot believe the difference it is amazing but when I don't have it in now it seems worse. Which I'm sure is normal, I don't think I realized how bad my hearing was until I got my hearing aid. Finished another round of Rituxin on the 18th of Oct. Hopefully things start to get better, and I can go more then 2 weeks without having to drive to Rochester for Dr appointments. Especially now that we are 2 1/2 hours away and having to bring the boys and make them sit through all my dr visits gets hard for them. Anyways, nothing really new with the horses, with me not spending a whole lot of time with them, they've gotten nice extra padding for winter ;)...

Well the boys are 3 months old already... I am sharing some pics of them :) Knox is on the left and Sawyer is on the right... they are cute as ever. At their last infusion they weighed 9lbs 7 oz (Knox) and 8 lbs 9 oz (Sawyer) so they're growing like little weeds lol. I love them so much. I have another surgery coming up and hopefully that will be my last, I am looking forward to being able to breathe again! My air way is around 50% narrowed so you can just about imagine how much fun doing anything is for me... Kyser makes fun of me all the time saying I sound like Darth Vador from Star Wars lol... Have to have some humor in the bad to keep spirits up I guess. Still have a few horses for sale... really want to find them GREAT homes before winter. Our hay field isn't yielding very much hay this year due to the drought we are in... our last cutting which was our 3rd cutting we got around 70 bales and we bale 4 acres... devastating to say the least. Anyways... I would consider selling horses on our "other horse" page just let me know which and shoot me an offer go from there. :) Thanks so much for checking out our website once again and have a wonderful day.

Well the babies are here... earlier then hoped but not completely surprised by it either. My water broke at around 6:00a.m Mothers Day morning which was the 13th of May. :) They are the cutest babies in the world. Sawyer Jay Bartelt was born 3# 12oz, 16 1/4" at 4:54pm and Knox Jacob Bartelt was born 3# 11oz, 15 3/4" at 4:56pm, via c-section. They are doing great, we had some ups and downs with Sawyer he was really having a hard time breathing and ended up going to the NICU over at St Marys around 12:30am on Monday and is still there. Knox is in the Special Care Unit at Methodist, and it SUCKS having them apart and having to go back and forth everyday. Sawyer did have a breathing tube for a few days and now is down to a High Flow oxygen machine, hoping to wean him off that in a day or so. He has an infection that was being really stubborn and they have had him on antibotics for the week. Never did figure out what it was, the tried doing a Lumbar Puncture on him but it didn't work and the next day he had improved some so they decided not to put him through that again (thank goodness). Sawyer started regular feedings yesterday and is tollerating them really well, Knox is also eating regularly (both via a feeding tube), and he is also doing really well. We are staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester until they get to come home, which isn't expected to be for at least a month. Hopefully they just improve everyday and that doesn't get extended. They are amazing, and the cutest babies in the world (of course I'm partial because their mine) but they are ;). Never could imagine the love I have for them. As well as Kyser, he is very much so a proud dad.

Updates on Horses...
Still have Dreamer, Ashes, and Shianne for sale. Please don't hesitate to make an offer I am not opposed to really anything at this point with them, I really need to find them great homes especially now that I will have "0" time for them since I will be in Rochester everyday until the babies come home. Otherwise nothing much else to report on the horsey end of things... pretty much at a stand still for now.

Well I cannot believe how mild of a winter we had here in Southern Mn. Crazy the warm weather we have been experiencing so early in the season. Anyways... we are doing well, babies are growing on schedule as of yesterday they weighed 2.3lbs and 2.2lbs, we have about 9 weeks left until we finally get to meet them, and trust me we are very excited! I had my last chemo infusion and since have been feeling pretty good, just getting into my uncomfortable stage in the pregnancy, but other then that I'm doing great :)... We are planning to move to Rake Ia or somewhere close to there in the next few months, if we find a house. That way Kyser is closer to home and doesn't have that 1 hour drive 1 way to work, and will be able to spend more times with the babies.

HORSE NEWS
Sarge is doing wonderful in school, I went and saw him on March 13th and he is so cute and fun to watch being worked. He is picking up on things great, and everyone loves him there. I am very excited to get him home, and like I said in the prospect page I would be willing to sell him to the right family, just contact me for more information if you are interested. It isn't a for sure thing yet, but time will tell if I have time to ride him like I hope. We still have Ashes, Shianne, and Dreamer for sale. Holding off breeding again this year just to make sure my health has stabilized and with the babies I don't know how much time I will have :). I am hoping to sell Dreamer before breeding season is over so the buyer can breed her if they like this year, if not I hope to breed her next year... time will tell. :) Not much else to report on horse news, as always check back for updates and new happenings here, and again as always if you have any question

So this month is coming to an end and boy was it a horrible month! I got the joy of another 5 day stay up in St. Mary's, the Wegeners is kicking my butt this go around, and the pregnancy isn't making it any better. But the babies are doing great so that's a plus : and all I am worried about right now). I had to have another surgery, this time on my air way. I could not breathe at all, I didn't even realize how bad it was until I woke up from surgery and I could actually breathe. Just have to stay positive, focus on getting better, and growing these babies... I just want these next few months to FLY and spring to be here. I am so excited to see our babies. :) :)

Horse news... nothing new, still have a few for sale, and have sold a few. Sarge is doing great over at RCTC I love hearing updates on his progress... very excited for him to come home. I miss seeing his face he always could make me smile when I was in a crummy mood...

Hey everyone, well January is almost over... can't believe how fast life goes by. I have made some tough decisions and decided to add a few more horses to the for sale list, and reduced some prices. If you have any interest in anything please feel free to shoot me an offer. I will also consider trade for hay :). Otherwise everything is going great. Puppies are getting so big and so cute! I feel like I get bigger every day lol... but I guess thats what comes with expecting  :). Definitely looking forward to spring/summer to get here! Again if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask I would be more then happy to answer them.

So we had our ultra sound on the 29th of November... and guess what... we are having TWINS! We are so excited... it was truly the most amazing thing to be able to see our little babies move around, it was so cool. At first we only saw one when the tech was doing the ultra sound, but then she's like ... "and here's the 2nd baby" ... I was just like omg there's 2. Both Kyser and I teared up and grabbed each others hand... it was beyond amazing. Our due date is July 2nd... probably won't make it all the way to the 2nd but that is what the due date is. Our next Dr. appointment is the 16th of December which we are excited for, any dr appointment that has to do with the babies is a good dr appointment to be excited for. :)

Hey everyone,
So I just wanted to let everyone know what the happenings are around here. We decided to put Shianne and Ashes up for sale. I just won't have enough time next summer to do much with them since we are going to have a baby and I would much rather them be in the show ring then sit in a pasture and get fat lol. So check out the "prospect" and "foal" pages to see the info on them 2 great fillies. Would consider a package deal just shoot us an offer! They are both wonderful fillies. We still have Max as well, so if you are looking for a nice gelding check him out. Onto other news... we have our first ultra sound tomorrow so we will finally know for sure if we are going to have twins or not... we are hoping for twins, but ultimately a healthy baby is all that matters to me. :) :) Very excited for tomorrow to get here!!! :) :) Also our female Neo is going to have her first litter of puppies! Very excited, it was unexpected b/c we never seen her come into heat, but she is getting huge and we can actually feel the puppies so we know she is... So stay tuned for updates with that. We are also very excited for them to be born they are going to be soo cute and wrinkly lol. But really that is all for right now. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to spend lots of time with family!! Maybe sooner or later we will finally get some snow on the ground, for someone who hates winter (me) I really wish we had snow.

Hey everyone! So I decided to start the blog back up keep everyone UTD on the life and happenings with us... :) Well we have good and bad news... but I am in a good mood so I will start with the GREAT news... first of all we had our Embryo transfer on the 15th of October... so exciting, but nerve wracking holy cow I was an emotional train WRECK for like a week, and then the 27th came around and it was even worse because I was so nervous to get the results from the pregnancy test. Well we found out on the 27th it WORKED and our embryo(s) stuck... had high hcG numbers which is a good sign for twins, but of course we wouldn't know more until (TODAY) and when we went in for my 2nd round of blood tests the hcG level more then doubled again, great sign that we are having twins. Of course we won't know for sure for sure until we have our first ultra sound in 3 weeks and actually get to hear the heart beat(s) and see what we will be able to see considering it's still early! We are ecstatic... and couldn't be more thrilled. But of course I did mention bad news... we actually found out the Thursday after our transfer that I have relapsed and my Wegeners is back... :( so my Doctors are really keeping a close eye on me to make sure we do everything to get me better and protect our baby(ies). So we are keeping our faith high, and staying very optimistic that everything is going to work out!! :) Anyways... I have Max up for sale now... so if anyone has any questions about him or would like to come see him you are more then welcome. He is a great colt... I hate to see him go, but with everything I need to find him a good home... breaks my heart, but it is the best thing to do for our family and him.
